Thesis V inverse: Doctor Who "Listen"

The monster I discussed in the first assignment was the monster from the Doctor Who episode "Listen"  which I have named "The Listener" as it has no given name.  I see The Listener as in a way doing the opposite of Thesis V.  Thesis V explains how monsters are there to warn us against certain things.  To keep us in check so to speak.  I see The Listener as a satire on the current social norm a way of telling us we need to change what were doing.

In the episode "Listen" the doctor theorizes the existence of a monster based on some small evidence.  He searches out this monster but never actually finds it.  He only get's scared at the possibility of it being there.  In a lot of situations we as people may see someone who may need help, but we never stop to ask.  We ignore the evidence before us and continue on our way as though it's nothing.  What bad would come if we stopped to help that person.  I see the connection as the Listener being the person that needs help.  We always ignore it, but what happens when we don't ignore it?  Nothing,  well nothing bad anyway.  Just as in the episode no one was killed or even hurt because The Doctor didn't ignore the evidence.

I see this as being the opposite of Thesis V.  Instead of shunning us away from something we should stay away from it's showing us something that we need to pay attention to.
